The SENCO (Claire Chapman) will have responsibility for:
Ensuring liaison with parents/carers and other professionals.
Advising and supporting other practitioners in the setting.
Ensuring that appropriate Individual Education Plans are in place.
Ensuring that relevant background information about individual children with special educational needs is collected, recorded and updated.
Ensuring that appropriate records are kept.
Ensuring that parents/carers are aware of the parent/carer partnership relationship.
Gambrelle aims to meet the needs of young children with special educational needs whether their needs are known before attendance at the day care centre or identified following admission.
