Gambrelle Day Care Centre is owned and managed by Mrs Claire Chapman, herself a busy working mother of four children.

Claire registered as a childminder in August 2002 before deciding to build a modern purpose built nursery on her home “Gambrelle” in April 2004. Claire says “Having been approached by several local parents I did some informed research into the local need for childcare and sought advice from the local Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership. They were very helpful and encouraging and provided me with demographic information that showed a high local birth rate and consequent need for a quality childcare facility that would meet the needs of modern working parents ... ”.

Since then, our day care service has gone from strength to strength, and now offers another day care centre in Framlingham and local Out of School Clubs. Our high quality of childcare was also reflected in a recent Ofsted report, where we received 'outstanding' in all areas for our Out of School Clubs. This is the first Out of School Club to receive this award in Suffolk, second in the country.
